| Fuckin' hell, I totally said to myself that I would not be skipping classes anymore, but I am too fucking hungover to be putting numbers in my head.
Thats because these 2 girls at the Nitzer Ebb show started buying me drinks even though Im underage which was fantastic considering ive never been drunk at a show before (I was sorta drunk at KMFDM but it wore off by the time they hit the stage). The concert kicked ass though, there was no barrier between the audience and the stage and when NE came on people went nuts. The 2 girls said they would meet up with me after the show outside but I did not see them and I was too trashed to know what the hell I was doing. Thankfully I ran into my friend Armando who helped me get back home.
I really want some iced tea, and a shower
Next week...KMFDM & Covenant

| So.....
I saw Tool on Monday night and I must say it was really amazing, alot better then the last time I saw them. Some of you might be surprised that I actually listen to them, but Ive always loved Tool even though there have been periods where I sort of got "Tool-ed" out and didnt listen to them for a while. They are so much better live then on a CD, not that the music has a lesser quality, its just that their shows are just such a big spectacle that it makes the music a million times better to enjoy.
I see Celtic Frost this Saturday, then Nitzer Ebb next Monday, my ears are going to kill me for this.
Lately Ive been on a real kick of old horror/thriller movies from the age of black and white cinema, just recently I got Eyes Without A Face and Fritz Lang's M, both are incredible movies that any film buff should check out. It goes to show you that a horror film can have power and substance without buckets of gore and lousy acting. Not that Im against buckets of gore and lousy acting, I love everything from trashy B movies to the old classics, its just now Im branching out into other types of films to add to my collection, lots of Criterion collection movies, I want to get Fiend Without A Face, and see Carnival of Souls, and I still have to watch my Inferno and Invasion of the Body Snatchers VHS tapes. I hate having roomates that are addicted to video games.

| Why why why must I be such an impulsive CD buyer...
Resistance is futile, I finally ordered Hanzel Und Gretyl's "Ausgeflippt" album off Amazon for a whopping $30...its out of print, and its the only HuG CD I needed to complete my collection, being as I have Uber Alles, Scheissmessiah and Transmissions from Uranus which is also out of print. Yeah, I still have to get a math textbook for school and a flashdrive for english, and here I am splurging for my love of HuG, lord have mercy....
And, I ordered my ticket for their show next month at Logan Square, only $13 plus $2.50 service charge. Not bad at all. Beat that Ticketbastard!

It has now been a month of surviving city life

I hate running out of groceries (at this moment Im eating tater tots and water)
I love having a kickass record store down the street
I love that this used CD store down the street has Criterion collection DVD's for rental

| Ticketmaster can just go to hell, I fucking want to get Placebo and Alice In Chains tickets but that means I have to pay an extra $15-$20 (both tickets alltogether) for their goddamned service charges, the reason being is because the venue that both of them are playing doesnt have a box office where you can purchase tickets without a service charge. I think its only venues that have a chain across the country (like House of Blues) let you buy tickets with a $2 service charge. So much for getting my hopes up on being able to get discounts while living in the city.
And I start school tomarrow....Please God, I want Truman College to be a more pleasant experience then JJC, and for God's sake let me be able to fucking pass english!!!! | | |
